Donald was appointed on 30 July 2026. He has a deep knowledge of the investment trust sector and related legal and regulatory requirements and has previously been a non-executive director on other listed investment trusts. He is a qualified barrister/advocate and has also served as an MSP and government minister. He was made a member of the House of Lords in February 2024.
