Smaller companies rose in September but trailed their larger company peers. Equities were spurred by enthusiasm over companies related to artificial intelligence (AI).

Following the recent AGM, Anja Balfour retired as a director and the Chairman of The Global Smaller Companies Trust. Anja served on the Board since 2015 and as Chairman since 2020 and we thank her for her significant contribution and thoughtful leadership throughout her tenure and wish her well for the future.
