Swantje began her career in banking at J.P. Morgan in 1991 from where she retired as Managing Director in 2017. During this time Swantje gained extensive experience in corporate finance/M&A, global markets and investment management.

She is a supervisory board member and Chair of the Audit Committee at TeamViewer SE and previously served as Independent Director of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy S.A., and as supervisory board member and audit chair of RENK Group AG (and predecessor companies). She also served on various charitable boards. She was appointed to the Board in April 2017.
