Meet the Fund Managers
CT Global Managed Portfolio Trust is a ‘multi-manager’ or managed investment trust.
This means it invests in a range of investment companies that gives you exposure to a broad spread of different geographies, sectors, investment styles and investment managers by using one investment trust.
There are two portfolios available to choose from with CT Global Managed Portfolio Trust:
CT Global Managed Portfolio Trust Growth (CMPG) – has the sole aim of growing your capital.
CT Global Managed Portfolio Trust Income (CMPI) – has the primary aim of providing you with a growing regular income and a secondary aim of some growth in your capital. Dividends are only paid on Income shares and are currently paid quarterly.

Growth or Income Portfolios
The Company’s investments are managed through two actively managed portfolios, a Growth Portfolio, designed to grow capital over time, and an Income Portfolio, providing you with a growing regular income and a secondary aim of some growth in your capital. Although the portfolios may hold some of the same investments, each portfolio is managed to achieve its respective objective.
There are no minimum or maximum limits on exposure to particular geographies, sectors, investment styles or investment managers. However, each Portfolio invests in at least 25 investment companies, providing broad diversification across these areas.
Effective 2 September 2026, performance of the share classes is compared against: the FTSE All-Share Closed End Investments Index, which is aligned with the Company’s investment policy because it is made up only of UK listed investment companies; the FTSE All-Share Index, which many retail investors may see as a broad alternative for their money; and the UK Consumer Price Index, which helps shareholders see whether their investment is keeping ahead of the rising cost of living.
Our investment approach
Each Portfolio invests principally in closed-end investment companies, wherever incorporated, which are listed on the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority (a Regulated Exchange). Each Portfolio may also invest in other closed-end investment companies, wherever incorporated, whose shares are traded on the Alternative Investment Market (‘AIM’) or another Regulated Exchange up to a maximum of 25% of the total assets of the relevant Portfolio.
Each Portfolio has the flexibility to invest, to a limited extent, in investment funds that are not listed closed-end investment companies provided their shares or other securities may be bought and sold or redeemed on a daily basis. Any such investment is expected to be made only where it can provide attractive exposure that is not otherwise available from listed closed-end investment companies.
There are no minimum or maximum levels set for underlying exposures to geographies, sectors, investment styles or investment managers. However, each Portfolio invests in at least 25 investment companies and provides exposure to a broad spread of geographies, sectors, investment styles and investment managers.
There are no defined limits on the type of securities that may be invested in and, accordingly, up to 100% of the total assets of each Portfolio may be invested in a particular type of security. However, the majority of each Portfolio’s holdings will typically comprise equity investments in listed investment companies.
In accordance with the UK Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority, the Company will not invest more than 10% in aggregate of its total assets in other UK listed closed‑end investment companies that themselves may invest more than 15% of their total assets in other UK listed closed-end investment companies.
No investment in either Portfolio may exceed 15% of the relevant Portfolio’s total assets at the time of the latest purchase.
Each Portfolio may invest in other investment companies or funds managed by the Manager or another member of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Group, provided that such investments shall not exceed 20% of the total assets of the Portfolio at the time of investment.
The Company may use derivatives, principally for the purpose of efficient portfolio management, including protecting the Portfolios against market falls.
The Company may use gearing in either Portfolio. Borrowings are not normally expected to exceed 20% of the total assets of the relevant Portfolio. Under the Company’s Articles of Association, the maximum borrowing limit is 50% of the total assets of the relevant Portfolio.

Our Board
Let's talk about risk
The value of your investments and any income from them can go down as well as up and you may not get back the original amount invested. Gearing is used for investment purposes to obtain, increase or reduce exposure to an asset, index or investment. The use of gearing can enhance returns to investors in a rising market, but if the market falls the losses may be greater.
