Albertine Pegrum-Haram

Senior Associate, Net-Zero Analyst

Albertine Pegrum-Haram joined the Responsible investment team in 2022 as an analyst focused on net zero and climate change. She supports and develops our net zero strategy, as well as our work on integrating physical climate risks. Albertine engages companies on net zero, climate and biodiversity. She is particularly focused on the hard-to-abate steel and cement sectors, as well as real estate. Prior to this role Albertine worked in S&P’s ESG team, where she helped develop climate metrics for corporate scoring. Before joining S&P she worked at the European Climate Foundation - a philanthropic initiative focused on climate and energy - as a researcher.

In her role she conducted research and analysis into an array of climate science topics, focusing on the IPCC reports, including their findings, the political implications and how to conduct sound communications. She has also interned at the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, and worked as a graduate adviser at the UK’s Government Office for Science.

She started her career as a postgraduate researcher at Imperial College London, using novel chemistry to investigate the oceans role in climate change, and has through her work participated on several field trips to the Arctic (both on ocean and on land). Albertine holds an MSci in Geology from the University of Bristol.
